🐣 Easter Holidays: Staying Productive with a Toddler in Tow! 🌟

It's Friday! And that means for a lot of us, Easter holidays are here. It also means we have our children home for the holidays (in my case, a 2 year old)

It might seem like an impossible task to stay productive while enjoying quality family time. But it's doable! Ideally, you would have the whole holiday season off to spend time with your family. But if you're like me, you have a 9 to 5 and client work that doesn't stop.

Here are some tips to help you balance work and play during this chocolate season 🐇

🧸 1. Create a Family-Friendly Workspace

If you have work that needs to be done right now, designate a shared workspace where your toddler can play while you work. You to keep an eye on them and work on the important project that your client needs finishing yesterday.

🎯 2. Prioritise Your Tasks

ClickUp and Notion are two amazing tools to prioritise your tasks each day. My rule is, if a task is going to take you more than 2 hours, break it into smaller, manageable chunks, and focus on completing the most critical part first.

📅 3. Plan Fun Family Activities

Schedule dedicated family time, such as Easter egg hunts, baking, or arts and crafts. This will provide you with the much-needed break from work and create memorable moments for your family.

It can't be work, work, work all the time. If you schedule in the family time, you're giving yourself permission to stop working and be present with your family.

🤝 4. Communicate with Your Team

If you work in a team, keep them up to date about your schedule and availability during the holidays. Set boundaries and manage expectations to avoid any miscommunication or undue stress.

My favourite tip here is using focus modes on the iPhone. My work calendar can't ping me and my boss can't call me if it's outside of work hours.

Remember, it's all about finding the right balance between work and family time. With these tips, you can enjoy a productive and memorable Easter holiday with your family (toddler or no toddler 🙂)

Wishing you a fantastic Easter break! 🐰🥚🌼
